ABdA's Philippine Philatelic Web Site has been nominated to the 2nd Philippine Webby Awards in the Home/Hobbies category. The Philippine Web Awards is the biggest IT awards event for this year hosted by The Web Philippines, a publication of WS Computer Publishing Corporation. Following-up on the highly successful 1998 Philippine Awards, held December 08 last year, is the only one of its kind in the Philippines, and may well be even in the whole of Asia.

The Philippine Webby Awards, patterned after the American Webbies in 1997 by The Web Magazine, is an award-giving body which honored the best Filipino-created websites for the year in 18 categories from more than a thousand local websites. The local version is for web sites created by Filipino(s), regardless of subject matter, and meets the criteria in the category being nominated to.
